River Hill Boosters Summer Sports Camps
The River Hill High School Boosters are sponsoring summer camps at River Hill High School. The camps are designed to help young athletes improve their fundamental athletic skills. Weekly camps begin June 13th from 4pm – 7pm and June 20th to August 5th from 9am - noon or 1pm – 4pm. Over twenty different camps are offered this summer, including football, soccer, baseball, softball, lacrosse, field hockey, volleyball, basketball, cross country, track & field, cheerleading, weight training, wrestling, and dance. For the first time, we are also offering a Youth Sports camp for 5-10 year olds. Saturday, April 9, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Join us for a celebration for young children ages 3-5 years old and their families. This free event will include hands-on activities relating to classic children’s literature including interactive games, songs, crafts and stories. The theme for 2016 is “Books Come Alive!”. Admission is free. Please bring a non-perishable donation for the Howard County Food Bank.

Columbia Figure Skating Club Announces Annual Spring Production: “Cinderella Stories on Ice”
Columbia, MD – March 13, 2016 – The Columbia Figure Skating Club announces its annual spring production, featuring multiple performances at the Columbia Ice Rink, located at 5876 Thunder Hill Rd., Columbia, MD 20145. Tickets are on sale now for the performances during the weekend of April 9th – 10th, 2016. Show times are at 4:00 & 6:00 pm both days.

University of Maryland
Exploring Engineering is a one-week residential summer program for high school women (rising juniors and seniors) who are considering engineering as a possible major and career. July 10-16, (Session I) or July 17-23, (Session II) The application deadline is Mar 31.
Students will live on campus for one week and be immersed in the world of engineering through hands-on activities, laboratory experiments, informative workshops, team challenges and seminars with professional engineers. 24rd Annual Viking 5K Cross Country Race/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run

Reservoir High School for Ranker's Sports Camp July 18-22. The camp is designed for rising 3rd-9th graders and features multiple sports everyday! Flag football, kickball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, team handball and Lithuanian ball are just a few of the sports we will play. Coach Phil Ranker is a physical education teacher at Lime Kiln Middle School and he currently coaches the girls soccer team at Reservoir. Walk for Our Stars, Sat. Apr. 23, 10 a.m.
Come join us for this fun, non-competitive walk. All money raised will be used to support our students with significant special needs and our staff. Funds will go towards the purchase of specialized equipment, expand the school's cultural arts program, increase the number of student field trips, and provide staff development beyond what is provided by the county. Stepping Stones to Your Future (SSTYF) summer camp. This week-long coed commuter camp is for rising 7th & 8th graders who are interested in learning more about engineering. Each day is filled with a variety of fun hands-on activities and engineering challenges. There are two weeks to choose from: Session 1 July 18-22 or Session 2 July 25-29.
